Ingredients
2 medium sized potatoes cubed
2 medium sized onions sliced
2 green chilli slit in the centre
1 tsp. garlic flakes
½ tsp. cumin seeds
½ tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. cumin powder
1 tsp. coriander powder
1 tsp. red chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp. oil
½ cup water
Method
In wok heat oil, add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Add the green chillies and allow the outer skin of the chilli get crisp or light green in colour.
Add garlic flakes and then onions, potatoes. Add the rest of spices. Add water and place the lid. Let it cook for about 20 minutes or till potatoes are soft and onions are translucent.
Cook for a further 5 minutes open without lid.
Serve with roti or kadi kichdi.
