Danival Korma

Ingredients
600 gm chicken pieces of your choice
4 tbsp oil
4 peppercorns
1 bay leaf
2 onions –ground to paste
1 ½ cup plain yogurt well whisked till smooth
Salt to taste
2 tsp dhania powder
1 tsp fennel powder (saunf)
1 tsp ground ginger power
2 tsp ground cardamom powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ cup fresh coriander leaves-chopped finely
Method
Heat oil; add the peppercorns and bay leaf. Add the onion paste and fry till brown
Add chicken and fry for a few minutes
Lower the heat and add yogurt, fennel, and ginger & dhania powder. Add salt to taste. Leave on lower heat stirring continuously till it boils.
Let it cook covered till chicken is cooked and small amount of gravy is left.
Add garam masala & cardamom powder. Garnish with fresh coriander leave and some freshly roasted and crushed dhania seeds.
Serve hot with roti or rice.
