Ingredients
4 slices of plain bread
Green Chutney - to spread on slices
1 medium boiled potato
1 tbsp chopped coriander
1 green chilli finely chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup Chickpea Flour (besan)
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/2 red chilli powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
Oil for deep frying
salt to taste
Method -
Mashed the boiled potato, add salt and pepper to taste. Add coriander , green chilli and lemon juice to the mashed potato.
In a bowl take the besan, red chilli powder turmeric, baking soda and salt. Add water slowly to make a thick paste.
Each pakora is made of 2 slices of bread each.
Place 1 slice of bread, spread some green chutney on one side and then spread some potato mash over the top. Place the other slices of bread on this and cut the bread into 8 pieces as rectangles.
Repeat the same with the other slices and ingredients.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Dip each piece of sandwich in the besan mix and deep fry till golden.
Serve with a sauce of your choice.
