Yakhani Pulav

Ingredients:
10 drums sticks
4 hard boiled eggs for garnish
2 small onions sliced
3 chillies chopped
Coriander chopped
Mint leaves chopped
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 box (2 cubes) of Maggie chicken stock
2 tsp of chicken masala (Everest)
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin n coriander powder
1 ½ chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 cups rice washed and left for 30 minutes
½ cup oil and ghee mix
Method
  • In a pressure cooker heat oil
  • Add sliced onions fry till soft and slightly golden
  • Add ginger garlic paste & chillies, let it fry for 2 mins
  • Add the chicken stock cubes, half coriander leaves and rest of the masala. Roast masala till aroma can be smelt.
  • Add a bit of boiled water, let it shimmer till oil seperates from the side and can see oil on the masala.
  • Add chicken , add ½ cup water and close pressure cooker and cook till 3 whistles are given.
  • Once cold add rice and cooked till rice is done.
  • Once done, add coriander leaves and mint leaves.
  • Spoon out in a serving dish and garnish with hard boiled egg quarter's
